MERCURY STATIONS RETROGRADE IN AQUARIUS 14 JANUARY 2022 Time to rethink plans on a more humanitarian basis Mercury makes its first retrograde station of the year at 10°20’ Aquarius (antiscion 19°40 Scorpio), over the last 12 days (since it entered Aquarius) we should have gotten used to this rather aloof, Air sign Mercury. The retrograde period will end on 3rd February when Mercury will be at 24°22’ Capricorn (antiscion 05°38’ Sagittarius).
NEW MOON IN CAPRICORN ON 2 JANUARY 2022 The New Moon, which is also OOB, will occur at 12°20’ Capricorn (antiscion 17°40’ Sagittarius). This is the 3rd consecutive New Moon at 12° of the relative signs. Capricorn is a Cardinal, Earth sign, so persons with planets or angles of the natal chart at 09-15° of Capricorn, Aries, Cancer and Libra will be particularly affected by this lunation.
MERCURY ENTERS AQUARIUS Abstract thinking or unusual facts? Mercury will stay in Aquarius until the 9th of March due to its retrograde period which starts January 14th at 10°20’ (it will re-enter Capricorn also during this time).
JUPITER ENTERS PISCES Jupiter enters its night-time sign just a few days before the New Year dawns. Jupiter is the traditional ruler of Pisces and in later times Neptune was also assigned as co-ruler of Pisces. Jupiter is the truth-seeker, it uses knowledge to expand its horizon, both on an earthly and spiritual level. Neptune wants to understand the unknown, the untouchable, the unfathomable.
SATURN-URANUS SQUARE This will be the last of three upper waning squares between the two planets and it will occur at 11°05’ with Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus retrograde in Taurus (antiscion points respectively 18°55’ Scorpio and Leo.
VENUS STATIONS RETROGRADE 19 DECEMBER 2021 Just six hours after the Full Moon in Gemini, Venus stations retrograde in Capricorn at 26°29’ (antisicion 3°31 Sagittarius), its retrograde period ends on the 28th January 2022 at 11°05’ Capricorn. Venus in Capricorn is “proper” as well as ambitious and perhaps even calculating. Now it’s time to re-address our Venus traits and those of the house in our chart where Venus is transiting and also those houses ruled by Venus.
FULL MOON IN GEMINI 18-19 DECEMBER 2021 ….“The Storyteller’s Moon” The Full Moon will occur at 27°28’ Gemini (antiscion 2°32’ Cancer) on the 18th or 19th December depending upon where you find yourself in the world.
MERCURY MOVES INTO CAPRICORN ….a suddenly serious mood Only eight hours after Mars enters Sagittarius, Mercury barges out of Sagittarius with the usual bluntness and awkwardness that often characterises his sojourn there and bounces into Capricorn. After fun-loving Sagittarius this will certainly hit him with force, dampening his mood and deepening his thoughts and encouraging all of us to think, plan and talk in a much more serious fashion.

TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE IN SAGITTARIUS 3-4 DECEMBER 2021 There will be a total Solar eclipse at 12°21’ Sagittarius (antiscion 17°39’ Capricorn) on the 3-4 December, depending upon where you are in the world. It will be visible in Antarctica, South America, South Africa and Australia. This is the last of the eclipses in the Mutable signs, next year (as per the Nodes) the eclipses will be in Fixed signs.
