Me? Or should I say we?
The Full Moon will occur at 09°05’ Leo (antiscion 20°55’ Taurus). Leo is a Fixed, Fire sign. In traditional astrology Leo governs the 5th house, so this Full Moon operates on the 5th-11th house axis (Leo-Aquarius): the things we create for our own personal satisfaction (including our children) vs our group efforts, the artist vs the scientist, the autocrat vs the democrat etc.
The lunation chart itself will have a heavy Earth/Air elemental sense to it (4 planets in each element) together with a feeling of being stuck (7 planets in Fixed signs). Practical [...]
The New Moon will occur at 23°13’ Capricorn (antiscion 6°37’ Sagittarius) and will be OOB.
The Moon's transit through the declinations will cycle between nominal highs and extreme highs over a period of about 18 years. The last cycle of extreme highs ended in 2011. The present cycle of extreme highs began in April 2020.*
Capricorn is a Cardinal, Earth sign, so persons with planets or angles of the natal chart at 21-26° of Capricorn, Aries, Cancer and Libra will be particularly affected by this lunation.
New Moons are notoriously the best moment to set fresh [...]
Abstract ideas or unconventional truths?
In Aquarius, a sign co-ruled by Saturn (traditional) and Uranus (modern), Mercury is even more thirsty for knowledge, always in search of new ideas and technologies but ready to reject or even abandon them as soon as new (Uranus) becomes normal (Saturn).
Mercury in Aquarius will give us new visions, make us aware of new possibilities, allow us to envision an ideal world or society, which might be great as a theory, but much less so as a practicality.
Aquarius is a fixed Air sign so here Mercury is at home in the mind and intellect but less so [...]
forget love and peace….
The first of six New Moons at 23° of their relative signs.
This New Moon will take place at 23°53’ Libra (antiscion 6°07’ Pisces) and will be squaring Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn, now all direct, in Capricorn, it will also still be in orb of an opposition to Mars retrograde in Aries, thus forming a Cardinal T-square aspect. The lunation is also in tight separating orb to the Saturn-Pluto conjunction of January again re-activating this degree and its consequences.
Libra brings to mind the usual Venus topics with a very harmonious nuance. So, we could [...]
Saturn’s influence is still hard to ignore…
The New Moon will occur at 26°35’ Leo (antiscion 3°35’ Taurus) and will form a partile quincunx aspect to Saturn retrograde in Capricorn.
Quincunxes are aspects of tension rather than of action and this one has a 6th house flavour to it (Saturn is 6 houses after the New Moon by sign), hinting at health issues and daily grind, so, again we have a Saturn influence in a monthly lunation as for the past four. The tension aspect of the quincunx is usually released by a transiting planet passing over the degree of the aspect and the release[...]
Another chapter of the never-ending story
The New Moon will occur at 28°26’ Cancer (antiscion 1°34° Gemini) in a partile opposition to retrograde Saturn in Capricorn. This is the second New Moon in Cancer this season, these “double New Moons” occur approximately every 29 months or so and are also called “Black Moons” by some astrologers. Both the Moon and Saturn are in their own sign and thus strong but each in the detriment of the other…working together to find a compromise could end up badly since they seem to be partners in crime rather than strong planets aimed at [...]
It’s a repeating theme….
This is the last of this year’s Summer eclipses and will be visible from South/West Europe, much of Africa, much of North America, South America, Pacific, Atlantic, Indian Ocean, Antarctica* see link in the bibliography.
The OOB Moon is in its detriment at 13°37’ Capricorn (antiscion 16°23’ Sagittarius) with its retrograde ruler Saturn just having re-entered the sign.
The Sun is at 13°37’ Cancer in the sign of the Moon and is separating from retrograde Mercury, both planets oppose by sign, but not by degree, the stellium of planets in Capricorn [...]
