Don’t get too wrapped up in the details... This Full Moon will occur at 19°37’ Virgo (antiscion 10°23’ Aries). Moon’s dispositor Mercury is stationing direct in the ultra-rational Air sign of Aquarius on this very day and only a few hours after the Full Moon event. The Moon itself, alone in detail-oriented Virgo is supported by the stellium of planets in Capricorn (Mars, Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn) which should be able to put tangibility, reason, energy and a certainty of sorts to this Earthy Moon as it leaves the opposition with foggy Neptune in Pisces which could have [...]
A bit of clarity before more fog descends... The direct station will occur at 28°14’ Aquarius (antiscion 1°46’ Scorpio), a Fixed, Air sign so completely different from the Mutable, Water sign that Mercury left when he embarked on his retrograde motion. Much of the retrograde period however has been spent in Pisces adding to the somewhat normal confusion and fogginess of Mercury’s transit in that sign albeit a fantastic place for the more spiritually inclined. How was this Mercury retrograde for you? For me, with 4 Mutable planets, it was disorientating to say the least. [...]
I’m sexy and I know it… Venus the planet of love, comfort, finances and self-worth enters one of her home signs on the 5th of March. Taurus is a sign known for its down-to-earth practicality and love of tactile sensations. It’s a Fixed, Earth sign which is very steadfast, stubborn and unable and unwilling to accept change and for the above reasons Taurus is known as a very dependable sign always arriving at its prefixed goals with its slow and steady attitude. Venus in Taurus also endures romantic situations that most others would have already abandoned. Venus in Taurus is [...]
It’s all about seeing things as they really are. The fifth of a series of six New Moons at 4° of the relative signs, this lunation will be at 4° 28’ Pisces (antiscion 25°32’ Libra). New Moons are notoriously the best moment to set fresh intentions for the month ahead. This one falls on the 12th-6th house axis (Pisces-Virgo) in traditional astrology so themes such as chaos vs order, compassion vs criticism and wholeness vs perfection come to mind. In a close applying conjunction to a retrograde Mercury, this dreamy New Moon may already have all the requisites needed for [...]
The marathon runner... Mars will make its ingress into Capricorn on the same day that Mercury stations retrograde. Mars is still OOB as it enters Capricorn, the sign of its exaltation, it will remain OOB until the 9th of March when it will be at 11° Capricorn. On the 23rd of February, the day of the New Moon in Pisces and still OOB, Mars will pass over the December 2019 Solar Eclipse degree at 4° Capricorn and this could bring eclipse matters to the fore in quite a pronounced manner for those countries and persons having charts affected by this event. “Pure” Mars in Capricorn[...]
Is the fog lifting? Nope…it’s getting thicker! This retrograde will begin at 12°53’ Pisces (antiscion 17°07’ Libra) and the planet will seemingly (but not actually) backtrack until 16th March when it stations direct at 28°14’ Aquarius. So, the retrograde period will initiate in a Water sign and terminate in an Air sign. Worth noting perhaps is the fact that Mercury will be parallel Venus for the first three days of the retrograde period and this may add a softer note to the beginning part of the period. A Mercury retrograde in a Water sign invites us ponder on the quality[...]
let’s take a walk on the wild side……. So, what does it mean for a planet to be OOB? When we cast an astrological chart we use a precise locality (birth place) on the earth and from this observation point we take note of the position of the planets in the sky at the time of birth and this enables us to calculate the angles that the planets form to the given locality. Another point of reference however is the celestial equator (which is the terrestrial equator elongated into space). When planets travel beyond 23°27’ either side of the celestial equator, be it North or South, they are[...]
...a little drama or a lot of excitement? Occurring at 20°00’ Leo (antiscion 10°00’ Taurus), this Full Moon affects the Aquarius-Leo axis or the 11th-5th houses in traditional astrology. Leo wants recognition as an individual…”look at me, watch me” whilst Aquarius wants teamwork…”let’s do this together”. We need to tune our individuality to the mood of the group in order to work compatibly together whilst not overlooking our own unique talents. Moon’s dispositor is Sun and Sun’s dispositors are Saturn (traditionally) and Uranus (given co-rulership of Aquarius by [...]
love at first sight.... Venus, the planet of values (what WE value and desire), love and finances, enters the sign of Aries on the 8th of February this year. In Aries, Venus is in her mythical lover’s den (one of them, the other being in Scorpio). Venus in Aries is full of bravado, actually she always gets what she wants in any sign, but her she’s more open and adventurous in Aries, sexual, but perhaps not sensuous, and certainly not “comfy” here. Aries and Scorpio are in fact the signs where Venus is in her detriment, where she is at least at ease in her surroundings.
Fantasy becomes reality and authenticity waivers….. Mercury isn’t at his best in Pisces, he’s actually in his detriment and fall which obviously doesn’t help him feel good, or on the ball either for that matter. And, the planet will remain in Pisces until mid-April due to the retrograde period during which it will also re-enter Aquarius. Mercury here tunes in his antenna, he’s the receiver of the word and thought but he has some difficulty in articulating his actual speech, and sentences often come out confused and of dubious or multiple meaning. In other words; confusion [...]
