If you love me then set me free….. Only three and a half hours after the Spring Equinox (Aries ingress) there will be a Full Moon at 00°09’ Libra, a Cardinal, Air sign ruled by Venus. This is the first Full Moon of two in Libra this year (the second one occurs on 19th April on the last degree of the sign). While Aries loves challenges and initiations, fighting for them if necessary, Libra, a Cardinal Air sign, wants partnership and prefers fairness and justice in all relationships, but these are also values that can be fought for too. What do we value most, ourselves or our [...]
How can we see clearly? There will be a New Moon at 15°47’ Pisces, a Mutable, Water sign ruled by Neptune (modern) and Jupiter (traditional) only hours after Uranus makes its entrance into Taurus. The Sun and Moon in Pisces will be closely conjunct Neptune, the modern ruler of Pisces with Mercury stationing retrograde at the end of this sign. This could make sensitivity and imagination top-rank allowing the veil between worlds to be lifted, thus giving us a possibility to see the past and the future as we gain major receptivity to subliminal messages from our own soul (Pisces and [...]
Shake, rattle and roll….. Uranus moves into Taurus at 8.28 GMT on the 6th of March only 8 hours before the New Moon in Pisces. Uranus has an 84-year orbit and spends roughly 7 years in each sign. It was discovered in 1781 by an amateur astronomer named William Herschel and, in more modern times, was given joint ruler-ship of the sign of Aquarius together with traditional ruler Saturn. Astrologer Bil Tierney* has the following to say: “Uranus with its equatorial plane at right angles to its orbital plane is an odd-ball in our solar system and appears to roll on its side as it [...]
Confusion reigns and we have to make some sense of it! On the 5th of March we will have the first Mercury retrograde station of 2019. The planet apparently seems to stop in its tracks at the very end of the sign of Pisces (29°38’) before beginning its seemingly backward motion to reach 16°05’ Pisces where it will station direct on 28th March. Mercury entered Pisces on the 10th of February so by now we should be aware if not accustomed to the dreamy nature of this sign – have you been feeling mentally fuzzy too? Mercury retrogrades have become publicly acknowledged as moments [...]
From serious and ambitious to friendly and gregarious. Venus in the sign of Aquarius values fairness and equal rights but can also be superficial and apparently lacking in real feelings but perhaps a bit of “distance” will do us all some good! The only dated to watch until 28th March when Venus enters Pisces: 21st March when Venus squares Mars (23°30’ Aquarius-Taurus) Artwork: myskypie2019
change is coming…should we follow our dream? There will be a Full Moon at 00°42’ of the sign of Virgo on February 19th. Virgo is a mutable Earth sign ruled by Mercury. Foremost, it is worth noting that this Full Moon will be on the antiscion of 29°18’ Aries almost the actual position of Uranus to the minute. Another annotation is that the Full Moon is conjunct the Royal Fixed Star Regulus now to be found at 0°04’ Virgo (it entered the sign of Virgo in 2011), this is usually considered a fortunate star conferring public prominence and great honour among its better effects. [...]
How appropriate that Mars enters the sign of Venus on San Valentine’s day! From daredevil and impossible to sensual and possessive. Mars in Taurus thrives on security, safety, routine and organization, slow to warm up but super passionate once the fire is lit. Mars is in his detriment in Taurus, he’s not his usual self so anger tends to fester and boil but when it explodes the devastation is usually total and irreversible. On the plus side no one resists and perseveres longer than Mars in Taurus in any endeavour he undertakes. Are you looking forward to the switch from Aries to [...]
Mars will conjoin Uranus at the anaretic degree (29°) on the 13th on February. Both planets are pushing to express their Aries qualities to the fullest. It’s a turn-around point with a sense of transition to it. These two planets together have a very explosive nature and even more so being in Aries, the lets-do-it-my-way sign par excellence. So, if you have planets in the very late degrees of the Cardinal signs be prepared for some rash behaviour and surprises.
After 8 years in Pisces (April 2010 to April 2018) Chiron entered Aries for the first time on 17th April 2018, moved back in Pisces on 26th Sept 2018 and will then move permanently into Aries on 18th Feb 2019 until May 2027. Whilst in watery Pisces the planetoid gave us the opportunity to feel our own pain and grief as well as that of others. It also enabled those with an inclination (or vocation) as a healer to help others overcome their pain and discomfort. In Aries, Chiron takes on the properties of this Fire sign with its “I exist” assertiveness and inner sense of vibrancy, [...]
Fantasy becomes reality and authenticity waivers…..mind-boggling in the literal sense! Mercury isn’t at his best in Pisces, he’s actually in his detriment and fall which obviously doesn’t help him feel good, or on the ball either for that matter. Mercury here tunes in his antenna, he’s the receiver of the word and thought but he has some difficulty in articulating his actual speech and sentences often come out confused and of dubious or multiple meaning. In other words; confusion reigns! This is due to the fact that being on the receiving end means he’s churning out [...]
