• VENUS ENTERS SCORPIO 8th OCTOBER 2019

  • Seductively passionate….

After a stay in flirtatious Libra, one of its home signs, Venus, the planet of values (what WE value and desire), love and finances, enters the “still waters run deep” sign of Scorpio on the 8th of October. Venus and Mars (now transiting Libra) will be in mutual reception (each in the other’s sign) until the 1st of November when Venus enters Sagittarius.

In Scorpio, Venus is in her mythical lover’s den (one of them, the other being in Aries).

Venus in Scorpio can lend itself to uncanny ways of seduction with psychological abuse and mental cruelty not being unknown here. On the other hand it’s powerfully attractive and very passionate. Venus in Scorpio, as in Aries, is in her detriment where the planet is least at ease in its surroundings.

So, since Venus deals with values of some kind we might want to acknowledge that these include our self-esteem too. In fact, there is a lovely observation in the book “Planets” edited by Joan McEvers which quotes astrologer Robert Glasscock as stating:

“The glyph we use for Venus in astrology resembles a hand-mirror”

continuing “what you value is a reflection of who you are so what we love is a reflection of ourselves”. Isn’t that a lovely way of conveying one of Venus’s meanings?

Some interesting aspects that Venus will make during its stay in Scorpio:

13th October: opposite Uranus retrograde in Taurus (5°30’) – a great day to improvise a party.

20th October: sextile Saturn in Capricorn (14°09’) – be creative but not sloppy!

22nd October: trine Neptune retrograde in Pisces (16°38’) – don’t be fooled by appearances.

25th October: sextile Pluto in Capricorn (20°38’) – “belonging” to a person or a group may feel necessary for you today.

“Tu ne me séduis plus, car je suis lucide.” Anon
