• Full Moon in SagittariusOOB FULL MOON IN SAGITTARIUS

    tell me your truth….

There will be a full Moon at 13°17’ of Sagittarius a mutable Fire sign (antiscion 16°43’ Capricorn) which will also be OOB. The Sagittarius Moon is usually a jovial, quest-searching entity that desires, above all, truth and something to believe in. It also loves freedom and is easily motivated.

Full Moons are times of harvest, the climax of the lunar cycle when energy is at its topmost…and we would do well to recognize this fact…that it can’t get any better (or worse) than this regarding whatever intentions we set on the previous New Moon.

The lunation chart is well-balanced as far as the Elements are concerned there is however only a balance between the Fixed and Mutable modalities with only one planet (Venus) in the Cardinal signs. Our get-up and go seems to have already got-up and gone. The lunation chart shows a locomotive pattern with Moon as lead planet and Mars trailing up behind. Emotions are definitely guiding us (wrongly or rightly) under this Moon.

Gemini Suns are information vampires and divulgators, any info will do just so long as they can pass it around. Sagittarius Moons are pickier with the information they give out, first they need to know which side the truth lies on and if they can trust the source the information came from. Since Full Moons occur when the Sun and Moon oppose each other it is therefore during this time that we may feel tension in regard to integrating the matters of the houses that are facing each other.

The OOB Moon is separating both from a trine aspect to Mars and a square to Saturn, there could have been some frustration in our emotional thought processes before this lunation. Jupiter, dispositor of this Full Moon, is in practical Taurus conjunct North Lunar node and in a separating square to Pluto R as well as receiving a separating square aspect from Mars. This could further indicate on a personal level that our hearts (Moon) want the real truth and no-nonsense communications from our head (Sun).  This might suggest that the people (Moon) want the same thing from the governments (Sun) if we look at this on a more global level. With Mercury conjunct Uranus in practical Taurus too we might be in for some real eye-opening revelations that are totally unexpected. And the OOB Moon could really exaggerate its need for truth at all costs but Sun is c//Pluto and no-one is willing to give up his or her own power or admit to having made mistakes.

If the Full Moon aspects a natal planet then it urges us to reflect upon how we are presently using that planetary energy and how we could devise plans to act upon and thus set our intentions for the next New Moon regarding any changes we might deem necessary. Or, we may sense internally or be alerted through external happenings regarding the outcome of the intentions we set on the previous New Moon.

This Full Moon falls on the 9th-3rd axis of the traditional horoscope. It’s about wisdom vs knowledge, intuition vs reason, long vs short journeys, morality vs amorality etc. If you have planets or angles at 10-16° of the mutable signs of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo or Pisces then this Full Moon could have a bigger influence for you. Nevertheless, it will illuminate an area of our lives that we may have preferred to have kept hidden since the last New Moon, now is the right occasion to explore it more deeply.

Raven Kaldera, in his book “Moon Phase Astrology” calls this the Priest’s Moon, “he who has acquired knowledge through the channel of the sacred texts and traditions that he has learned and who is now ready to dedicated himself to the Truth (as he sees it).”

On this Moon he suggests “that we reflect about the traditions and beliefs we hold (religious or otherwise) and if we are able to objectively question them. If we think that we hold no fixed beliefs then maybe we could ask our friends if they think that this it true and be ready to listen carefully to their answers about ourselves.”

The Sabian symbol for the Moon at 14° Sagittarius: “The great pyramid and the Sphinx.” Indicating the enduring power of occult knowledge and of its quasi-divine Custodians, “seed-men” of a previous cycle of existence.

For the antiscion at 17° Capricorn: “A repressed woman find psychological release in nudism.” Indicating the escape from bondage to social inhibitions and a reliance upon the wisdom of the body.

For the Sun at 14° Gemini: “Bridging physical space and social distinctions, two men communicate telepathically.” Indicating the capacity to transcend the limitation of bodily existence.

“In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” George Orwell
