Let’s move forward continuing to discern the useful from the useless…

After a period of retrograde motion which started in the Air sign of Libra and ends in the Earth sign of Virgo, Mercury stops in his tracks at 24°11’ Virgo (antiscion 5°49’ Aries) before picking up speed and moving forward.

Mercury will be stationing in an applying trine to Pluto (which also goes direct on the 8th of October at 26°07’ Capricorn) and in a separating opposition to retrograde Neptune at 23°36’ Pisces, Neptune R and Pluto R are in a sextile aspect to each other. This on a global scale might indicate the dissolution (Neptune) of power structures (Pluto in Capricorn) and the concepts (Mercury) these have brought with them. On a more personal level we might finally see where and by whom we have been deceived (Neptune) and decide to regain our own power (Pluto) by finally listening to our gut feelings (Mercury in Virgo).

Mercury, in one of his own signs, Virgo, is at home. So, diving deeper into details, re-planning, rethinking and generally brooding over matters during this period may not have proved too hard for him. Although he may feel rather mentally challenged after all that thinking!

Wherever Virgo is in your chart you’ve been invited during the latter part of this retrograde period to re-evaluate the matters of that house. Now you’re ready to activate all those plans and programmes that you’ve hopefully been reviewing.

This, for some, may involve purchasing that new phone, computer, car or machine that you’ve been pondering, since all these things come under Mercury’s reign and may have broken during this period. The same applies for sorting out any communication muddles and getting them settled.

The Sabian symbol for 25° Virgo: “A flag at half-mast in front of a public building.” Indicating the social acknowledgement of a job well done and a destiny fulfilled.

For the antiscion at 6° Aries: “A square, with one of its sides brightly illumined:” Indicating the emotional desire for concrete and stabilised existence as a person.

To me a fitting quote for this moment might be:

“You can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks, or even months over-analysing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could’ve, would’ve happened… or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move the fuck on.”  Tupac Shakur

What did the Mercury retrograde period bring up for you? Want to share?
