• MERCURY ENTERS LEO ON JUNE 29TH 2018

  • All I’m askin’, is for a little respect when you get home (just a little bit)”*

After a short stay in the homely sign of Cancer, Mercury now enters flamboyant Leo. Here, due to its retrograde period, it will remain until the 5th of September…so we’d better get used to this energy!

In Leo, all planets want to be respected according to their nature. Mercury in Leo wants to be respected for his opinions and views and in desiring this, self-confidence often turns into bravado and presumption.

The 3-week retrograde period will begin on the 25th of July at 23°26’ and end on the 18th of August at 11°33’….more about that in a later article.

Just inside Leo, Mercury will bump into a square with Uranus at 1°58’ (Leo-Taurus) on June 30th bringing great ideas and innovative plans some of which will be worthwhile others less so. It’s also an accident prone aspect so slow down and take some time to smell the roses!

On the 3rd of July Mercury will conjunct the transiting North Node, news and communications suddenly take on a very optimistic and futuristic tone.

On the 5th of July there will be an opposition from Mars retrograde (Leo-Aquarius), expect to be blurting out some nonsensical stuff and not getting approval for it and avoid putting too much impetus into your opinions. Also be careful how you handle knives and flames, don’t be rash in any movements!

There will also be three squares to Jupiter (Leo-Scorpio), the first on 9th July at 13°21’ in which Jupiter is retrograde, the 2nd on the 11th July at 14°49’ with Mercury retrograde and Jupiter direct and the third on 28th July with both planets direct at 16°42’. These will bring optimism and give us a more positive picture about life but could also make us rather sloppy regarding the details… we might overlook the deeper side of things allowing arrogance to take hold.
