There is an important Mars square Pluto event at the beginning of July this year, the two planets will square each other at 27°46’ (Aries-Capricorn).

The square occurs in the Cardinal signs which are very much “get up and go”, Mars is in his own sign and exalted in the sign of Capricorn. Squares are aspects which don’t usually produce events caused by you personally but are nevertheless events which require your immediate attention to resolve since they cause a lot of friction. Imagine the energy building up for release between a supercharged Mars and Pluto during the upcoming square.

Why is this particular square aspect different than those that occur approximately every six months or so between these two planets?

Allow me to elaborate. Way back in in the early ‘80’s between June 1982 and June 1983 another significant astrological event took place at 27°36’ Libra, namely a Saturn-Pluto conjunction. So those born during that period with the Saturn-Pluto conjunction at those degrees are not only experiencing a transiting Pluto square natal Pluto aspect which denotes a sort of mid-life crisis during which reassessment of what is emotionally important is usually a high priority (even more so because it is a Libra-Capricorn square) but they are also having a Mars opposition which will energise that natal Saturn-Pluto conjunction.

Hands up those born during the June ’82 – June ’83 time frame who have had relationship problems for most of their adult life. Now could be the right time to sort out the control issues you probably have been experiencing in your personal relationships and claim your own power.

For the record there was also a Saturn-Pluto conjunction at 22°46’ Capricorn in January 2020 but this was 5° away from the 1982-83 conjuntion.
