• MARS OOB THEN RETROGRADE IN GEMINI

  • Mars OOB and R in GeminiMARS OOB THEN RETROGRADE

Knowledge becomes evil if the aim be not virtuous. Plato

On 22 October Mars will go OOB starting his journey way beyond the ecliptic to return in bound on 4th May 2023. Mars will be at 25° Gemini when he starts his journey, the same degree as his retrograde station on the 30 October (25°36’ Gemini – antiscion 4°24’ Cancer).

Mars is in his own term at 25° Gemini but will soon slide backwards becoming once again peregrine, OOB and retrograde.

Mars is known as the lesser malefic in traditional astrology and can be really wayward when he finds himself in positions like those cited above.

In the Air signs, and in Gemini in particular, he is crafty and scheming, planning all sorts of strategies about how to win his battles and I’d go so far as to describe the planet as “mentally unstable” in more ways than one.

Added to all this we have had Mars c// Pluto since the 24th of September and this “opposition” by declination will continue until the 5th of November (remember we will be having a Mars ruled partial Solar Eclipse on the 25th of October). Of the two planets, Mars is by far the stronger since the planet is northward bound whilst Pluto is southward bound so Mars could certainly have the upper hand in this “opposition”. Pluto in Capricorn wants to revolutionise the status quo and particularly that of our ruling bodies, Mars in Gemini stirs up the trouble by planning and scheming. Is it any wonder that there is widespread violence around the world at this moment?

The Sabian symbol for the retrograde station at 26° Gemini: “Frost covered trees against winter skies.” Indicating the revelation of archetypal form and essential rhythm of existence.

For the antiscion at 5° Cancer: “At a railroad crossing an automobile is wrecked by a train.” Indicating the tragic results which are likely to occur when the individual’s will pits itself carelessly against the power of the collective will of society.

“The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.” Albert Einstein
