    Believe…

After a 4-month retrograde period which started in Aries, Jupiter stations direct at 28°47′ Pisces (antiscion 1°13′ Libra) only minutes before the New Moon in Sagittarius (ruled by Jupiter). Now only Mars, Neptune and Uranus remain retrograde.

Jupiter is the traditional night-time ruler of Pisces, only more recently was Neptune assigned as modern co-ruler.

Jupiter is a hot moist, masculine planet whilst Pisces is a cold moist, nocturnal and feminine sign.

Jupiter stations direct conjunct Fixed Star Scheat which Robson explains as “losses through law and danger of imprisonment” as well as “extreme misfortune” when the Star is also square Mars as in the chart of the station. Jupiter is also under a square aspect from this peregrine, retrograde OOB Mars and is separating from a sextile to Pluto. A huge amount of energy (Pluto and Mars) to follow our ideals (Jupiter) but are they the right ones?

Over the last four months we have had an opportunity to get back in touch with our inner self as a cautious optimism about future events gradually invaded us, more at an interior level rather than an exterior one.

The Aries part of the retrograde might have meant that matters did not proceed as planned in the realm of warfare. Throughout the Summer the drought and hot weather continued in many countries but when the planet returned to Pisces, flash floods and torrential rains also became part of the picture.

The Pisces part of the retrograde might have given us hope that perhaps more compassion might be brought to the forefront, I don’t think it actually was. However, it did give us an opportunity to turn inwards and gain deeper insights into spiritual or philosophical issues allowing our wisdom to flow with more ease from the subconscious to the conscious self.  It was also an excellent period during which to seek out underlying beliefs concerning the current matters of the house where Jupiter is transiting in our natal chart. In this way we may have come out of this retrograde period with an inner sense of wholeness and confidence in our future potentials and ideals.

Jupiter represents, among many other things, foreign travel, ideals, teaching, learning, legal matters, religion, the clergy, indigo-violet-purple colours, the hips, thighs and liver.

The last time Jupiter transited the sign of Pisces was in 2010 the next time will be in 2033-2034.

The Sabian symbol for 29° Pisces: “Light breaking into many colours as it passes through a prism.” Indicating the analytical power of the mind necessary for the formulation of life processes in their many aspects.

For the antiscion at 2° Libra: “The transmutation of the fruits of past experiences into the seed-realisations of the forever creative spirit.” Indicating a repolarisation of inner energies leading to a creative centralisation of consciousness.

“Don’t sacrifice yourself too much, because if you sacrifice too much there’s nothing else you can give and nobody will care for you.” Karl Lagerfeld
