There will be a Full Moon at 3°44’ Taurus on October 27th, this will be the third of three super Full Moons in a row. Super Full Moons are said to assist larger shifts in consciousness. It will occur on the 2nd-8th house axis (Taurus-Scorpio) in traditional astrology; my resources v resources shared with others.
Full Moons put the spotlight on the darker side of life, where we need to question our motivations and recognize if we are coming from a place of love for ourselves (Taurus) or suspicion and jealousy (Scorpio). It poses the question of what needs to be understood and transformed. The Taurus-Scorpio axis with the Moon occurring in Taurus means that Scorpio is the dark side with all its trust issues and its penchant for drama and jealousy whilst Taurus indicates that awareness of love and comfort is the way out of Scorpio’s dilemma.
Venus, the traditional ruler of Taurus (and Libra) is in Virgo in an exact opposition to Chiron in Pisces (17°), this might serve to remind us that only by realizing that we’re part of the Universe will we be able work out how to love and value ourselves for what we really are without needing to prove our worth to others. Venus in Virgo opposite Chiron in Pisces also tells us that happiness is not the fruit of perfectionism nor in always trying to please others but in just being ourselves and loving us as such.
On the 25th October Venus is also in conjunction in Virgo with Jupiter at 16°, this might help us expand our views about love (and money). This conjunction is great for romance, creativity and being generous, so careful not to overspend!
Raven Kaldera in his book “Moon Phase Astrology” calls this Full Moon “the Earth Mother’s Moon”. According to him, it’s a time when we should take care of our body and the physical (not emotional) needs of others. We could ask ourselves on this Moon questions such as: “Am I eating healthily?”, “Do I need a medical check-up?”, “Am I sleeping enough?” “Do I feel good at skin-level with my clothes or does fashion prevail over my comfort?” “Am I getting enough hugs and regular body contact from my loved ones?” On this Moon we need to find the answers to the above questions and fix what is not working.
