• FULL MOON IN LIBRA ON 8 APRIL 2020 (GMT)

  • time to open our hearts……

The Full Moon will occur at 18°43’ Libra (antiscion 11°17’ Pisces), a Cardinal, Air sign ruled by Venus.

Full Moons are when matters climax, they are “now or never” moments regarding any projects we have initiated or intentions set at the preceding New Moon fourteen days ago.

This Full Moon chart is well balanced as far as Modality is concerned with 3 planets in the Fixed signs, 4 in the Cardinal and 3 in the Mutable. Not so, as far as the Elements are concerned, with only one planet, the Sun, in the Fire signs (3 in Earth, 4 in Air and 2 in Water). Fire signs provide the kick-start to any action.

This lends to an interpretation along the following lines: lots of practical resolutions for long-term solutions but not enough oomph to get them going and Mercury still within orb of Neptune indicates a lack of clarity too.

Moon is disposed by an OOB Venus in ubiquitous Gemini and trine the Mars-Saturn duo in Aquarius, we all desperately crave “real” socializing but this is restricted and we’re not going anywhere soon since ideas and directives are fuzzy (Mercury conjunct Neptune) and tending towards pessimism (Jupiter conjunct Pluto) which makes us stuck in a limbo (Mars-Saturn).

Sun, standing alone in Aries, is ruled by humanitarian (so they tell us) Mars still hanging close to Saturn (although separating) and exactly square Uranus in Taurus (ruled by Venus). Explosions of social disobedience regarding our desire to break free from restrictions and mingle with our fellows could make the news in the days preceding this Full Moon.

We really do need to put the needs of the collective (Aquarius) before our own (Sun in Aries), how long will it take before this really sinks in?

This lunation takes place on the traditional 7th-1st house axis, Libra-Aries the “you” vs “me”, compromise vs assertion, relationship vs independence etc. Most affected by this Full Moon are those people with planets or angles in the Cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. Allow a 2° orb for contacts.

    Author Raven Kaldera calls it

    the “Artist’s Moon”

according to him, it’s a great time to start creative projects and an even better time to pick up those creative projects you’ve put aside or forgot about or lost inspiration in. It’s also a good time to go public with your art (or your talents I might add).

The Sabian symbol for 19° Libra: “A gang of robbers in hiding.” Indicating a protest against disharmonic social privilege.

For the antiscion at 12° Pisces: “In the sanctuary of an occult brotherhood, newly initiated members are being examined and their character tested.” Indicating the ever-repeated challenge presented to the individual by the group in which he has claimed acceptance – the challenge to prove himself and his ability to assume responsibility effectively.
