  • Full Moon in AriesFULL MOON IN ARIES

The Full Moon will take place at 06°00’ Aries (antiscion 24°00’ Virgo).

This is usually known as a “me-first” Full Moon. However, Moon’s dispositor Mars is in detriment in Libra, conjunct Lunar South Node and in an 8th house flavour quincunx to Uranus R. This is not a friendly Mars but is one with a tendency for a lack of compromise (Libra) whilst over-reacting (Uranus R) in the face of any kind of perceived disruption. Plans seem not to take off possibly due to lack of enthusiasm (Mars conjunct South Node). And of course, Mars-South Node are part of the Cardinal T-square with apex Pluto which has been on-going since last Spring and this aspect could add a rather corrupt influence to the block of power where people are unable to express their ideas and the society at large suppressing whatever actions the people might want to undertake. Ambition is huge during a Pluto-nodal axis T-square but the audience isn’t willing to listen and people may see each other as a threat leading to disruption and destruction.

The Sun, in fall in Libra, is in Mutual Reception with its dispositor, Venus, peregrine in Leo, the two planets may want to help each other but with both in a state of debilitation this “help” may translate into a sort of leaning together in order not to fall…a help only to themselves unfortunately further hindered by the almost exact Venus-Uranus R square and the Sun// Neptune. The Sun will certainly host the show in a diplomatic (Libra) yet far too dreamy (Neptune) way if Venus doesn’t ooze too much self-confidence and bravado, the tight square to Uranus R could lead to some rather unusual outbursts which may or may not please Sun. Mercury is also approaching an opposition to Neptune R adding more confusion.

The Elemental flavour of the lunation chart is Earthy with 4 planets in this Element and 2 planets each in the other Elements. The Modalities are well-balanced.

Full Moons are moments when matters peak concerning the house axis where it falls, for good or for bad, and some of these matters could involve any intentions you might have set on the previous New Moon which took place fifteen days ago.

It falls on the 1-7th house axis in the traditional horoscope (Aries-Libra) and involves such issues as; me vs we, what I want vs what we want, fighting vs cooperation, assertion vs compromise etc.

Author, Raven Kaldera, in his book “Moon Phase Astrology” calls this the

    “Warrior’s Moon”

On this Moon he writes that we fight for what we believe in, often in a lone battle with our own interior demons during which time we also learn the virtue of patience and compromise.

The Sabian symbol for 07° Aries: “A man succeeds in expressing himself simultaneously in two realms.” Indicating the first realisation of the dual nature of man and the possibility it implies.

For the antiscion at 25° Virgo: “A flag at half-mast in front of a public building.” Indicating the social acknowledgement of a job well done and a destiny fulfilled.

“I make us better by competing with you.” Toba Beta, My Ancestor Was an Ancient Astronaut
