“The Storyteller’s Moon”
On the 14th there will be a Full Moon at 22°26’ Gemini, as we all know, full moons are when matters that have been simmering under the surface emerge to be dealt with. This lunation occurs on the 3rd-9th house axis (Gemini-Sagittarius) in traditional astrology; how I think vs how they think, short trips vs long journeys, reason vs intuition etc. Both signs are concerned with gathering and spreading knowledge as well as education and travel.
It will most affect those with planets or angles in Gemini and Sagittarius between 20-24°.
So this Full Moon highlights the connection between our beliefs and dreams and real life and brings up questions such as “What part am I playing in my life?”, “Which archetypes am I manifesting?”, “How much control do I have over these matters?”.
Author Raven Kaldera in his book “Moon Phase Astrology” calls this Full Moon in Gemini “The Storyteller’s Moon”. He writes that this is an excellent time to enjoy a good book or movie, to sit around with friends confiding your life story or to start a diary where you jot down your most intimate and heartfelt truths about yourself.
Also there are some interesting aspects going on in the sky.
Mercury, ruler of Gemini (and Virgo) is in a close conjunction with Pluto in Capricorn adding, at worst, a note of obsessiveness to our thinking or, at best, a laser-sharp thought pattern that can get to the bottom of anything we put our attention on. This is further highlighted by the on-going square between Pluto and Jupiter which is a powerful boost of transformative energy inviting us to forge ahead for the better.
Jupiter, ruler of Sagittarius, now in Libra, forms a Grand Air Trine between itself, the Moon in Gemini and Mars in Aquarius increasing our optimism, kindness and ability to think in a very rational way. It also softens the somewhat harsh Sun-Saturn conjunction in Sagittarius which is squaring Chiron in Pisces tempting us to feel that the grass is always greener on the other side, something we know that’s not true if we use our rational mind!
Sabian symbol for 23° Gemini: “Three fledgings in a nest high in a tree.” Indicating the growth of spiritually creative processes in an, at least, relatively integrated mind.
“Sometimes you have to stop worrying, wondering and doubting. Have faith that things will work out, maybe not how you planned, but just how it’s meant to be.” Book of Quotes
