ARIES FULL MOON tempers could run high….
The Full Moon will occur at 03°37’ Aries (antiscion 26°23’ Virgo).
The Moon in Aries is wilfull but also peregrine and could appear completely directionless.
Dispositor of this lunation is Mars sharing the anaretic degree with the nodes and quincunx North Node, Mars and Moon are also in mutual reception. It seems like the future (North Node) for and of the people is becoming a problem that must be resolved (quincunx) and this certainly involves fighting for, or protecting, our tribe or our homeland. However, with Moon separating from Neptune R and in sextile to both OOB Pluto R (just separating) and Uranus R (applying) matters may still be unclear (Neptune) as the opportunity for social change and reform (OOB Pluto R) require innovative thinking and plans (Uranus R). Mars is also parallel Uranus R adding and urgency to the formulation of plans. The Moon’s next aspect is a conjunction to Saturn R, perhaps a fear of fighting needs to be overcome or maybe we need to curtail warlike attitudes by using common sense.
The Sun, in fall in Libra and thus not on its best behaviour, is part of a Grand Trine in the Air element together with OOB Pluto R and Uranus R so both planets involved in the lunation have contacts to the outer planets which are all retrograde. Grand Trines need a harsh aspect plugging in to the formation in order for it to act, here we have Moon stimulating the action from a Cardinal sign via opposition to the Sun and sextile OOB Pluto R and Uranus R whilst separating from a conjunction to Neptune R.
The people will perhaps be a stressful factor for the leaders during a time (Full Moon) when matters naturally climax, Sun probably prefers not to listen to Moon but as in all opposition aspects a compromise has to be found and it probably won’t satisfy either party.
The lunation chart has a predominantly Cardinal modality showing the need for action with little planning ahead given only one planet in the Mutable modality. The Elements completely lack Earth, so practicality isn’t the name of the game we are acting on our gut feelings now.
Full Moons are moments when matters peak concerning the house axis where it falls, for good or for bad, and some of these matters could involve any intentions you might have set on the previous New Moon which took place fifteen days ago.
It falls on the 1-7th house axis in the horoscope (Aries-Libra) and involves such issues as; me vs we, what I want vs what we want, fighting vs cooperation, assertion vs compromise etc.
Author, Raven Kaldera, in his book “Moon Phase Astrology” calls this the
“Warrior’s Moon”
On this Moon he writes that we fight for what we believe in, often in a lone battle with our own interior demons during which time we also learn the virtue of patience and compromise.
The Sabian symbol for 04° Aries: “Two lovers strolling on a secluded walk.” Indicating the progressive polarisation of energies needed for fulfilling one’s life function.
For the antiscion at 27° Virgo: “A group of aristocratic ladies meet ceremonially at the court’s function.” Indicating the ability to carry on a revered tradition in order to perpetuate cultural standards of excellence.
For the Sun at 04° Libra: “Around a campfire a group of young people sit in spiritual communion.” Indicating the necessity to unite with kindred spirits as one enters unbeaten paths illumined by the still-insecure light of a dawning intuition of new values.
