    From Earth to Air, from sensual to frivolous…it’s party time!

    Venus in Gemini is known for being flirty as well as for its refined social skills although it dislikes commitment both sentimentally and financially. Venus in Gemini enjoys a lot of mental fertility and it reflects a lot on matters of the heart (usually deciding that single is better than partnered) since it is far too rational to be interested in steady love unions. It could also be a spendthrift as far as intellectual pursuits are concerned (books especially) since it values communication and information.

    On 5 May Venus will go OOB at 12° Gemini and re-enter bounds on 7 June at 22° Cancer, expect Venus traits to be very prominent during this period.

    So, what does it mean for a planet to be OOB? When we cast an astrological chart we use a precise locality (birth place) on the earth and from this observation point we take note of the position of the planets in the sky at the time of birth and this enables us to calculate the angles that the planets form to the given locality. Another point of reference however is the celestial equator (which is the terrestrial equator elongated into space). When planets travel beyond 23°27’ either side of the celestial equator, be it North or South, they are referred to as “out of bounds”.

    OOB planets can also be found in birth charts and special attention should be paid to them since they are considered “stronger” in their characteristics.

    During its stay in Gemini the planet will make the following aspects:

    26 April – sextile Neptune (03°07’ Aries-Gemini) – dream on.

    28 April – trine Pluto (05°29’ Gemini-Aquarius) – intensely romantic or just very artistic?

    01 May – sextile Saturn (09°14’) –you may be inspired to ask an older person for help or advice or you may just feel that relationships need to be taken more seriously.
