  • New Moon in LibraNEW MOON IN LIBRA

    forget love and peace….

The first of six New Moons at 28° of their relative signs.

This New Moon will take place at 28°21’ Libra (antiscion 01°39’ Pisces).

Libra brings to mind the usual Venus topics with a very harmonious nuance. So, we could expect accord, comprehension, justice and fair play in all relationships with an almost exaggerated sense of wanting to please at all costs since rocking the boat would make us lose our balance and poise.

    but…..

tempers could flare (Mars in Scorpio conjunct Mercury which is also c// Uranus R) whilst Moon and Sun, in a separating square aspect to Jupiter in Cancer, try their best to mediate (Libra).

The New Moon is in fact activating the Grand Water trine formed by Jupiter, Mars-Mercury and Saturn R. Grand Water trines run on emotions perhaps both the Sun and the Moon are counting upon this for different end purposes?

Venus, dispositor of the New Moon is well-dignified in Libra but it’s not making or receiving any Ptolemaic aspects to or from other planets, it’s a singleton, a lovey-dovey with no one to play with.

The chart yet again has a heavy Air/Cardinal influence indicating that the future needs attending to ASAP and with no planets in the Earth signs this could result as difficult on the practical side. We’ll need to wing it to get by.

The trine between OOB Pluto R and Uranus R is still in place as is the sextile of both to/from Neptune R.

New Moons are great times to set your intentions about projects to undertake during the month to come so try to take some quiet time to think about what you would like or need to change in the matters of the house where this lunation takes place in your chart.

The New Moon falls on the 7-1st axis (Aries-Libra): the us vs I, compromise vs assertion, relationship vs independence etc. Most affected by this New Moon are those people with planets or angles between 25-30° in the Cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.

Author, Raven Kaldera, in his book “Moon Phase Astrology” calls this Moon the

    “White Knight’s Moon”

he describes it as putting the focus on justice and discerning right from wrong and according to him this Moon is a great time to examine our ideals and adjust them if necessary.

The Sabian symbol for 29° Libra: “Mankind’s vast and enduring effort to reach for knowledge transferable from generation to generation.” Indicating a deep sense of participation in, and commitment to, social processes which seek to bring to all men Truth and a greater Life.

For the antiscion at 2° Pisces: “A squirrel hiding from hunters.” Indicating the individual’s need both to ensure his future subsistence and to protect himself from aggressive social elements.

Balance is not something you find, it’s something you create.     Jana Kingsford
