    Saturn made its first tentative entrance into Aries on 24-25 May 2025 remaining in this sign until 01 September when by retrograde motion it returned to Pisces, now the planet will re-enter Aries until April 2028.

    From Water to Fire. The old man enters the sign of youth, who will teach who?

    Saturn in Pisces enjoyed only minor dignity in the first 10 and the last 5 degrees of the sign (the former by face, the latter by term). In Aries, Saturn will be in his fall and only slightly improved by dignity in term during the last 5 degrees of the sign. So, for the most part of his stay, Saturn will be debilitated and thus tendentially inclined to do bad rather than good.

    Aries is a Cardinal, action-oriented sign, Saturn naturally tends to drag his feet, cautious beyond reason at times. So, this could be a rather “constipated” version of Saturn in which “go versus stop, impulse versus caution, risk versus security, motion versus crystallisation, challenge versus fear, fighting with intention  or fear of fighting etc” all need to be figured out.

    With Saturn in Aries there could also be a fear of warfare, a disciplined act of war or an intended act of war…or perhaps all three together. There might (hopefully) also be an implementation of new rules that regulate misinformation, scamming and deception in all its forms.

    Saturn could be controlling in the Fiery masculine sign but Aries might imbue some enthusiasm into Saturn, however either scenario could lead to frustration as if trying to drive at full speed with the brakes on.

    A few of my further thoughts about Saturn in Aries:

    Fear of firearms, regulated use of firearms

    Commanding with intent (and cruelty)

    Fear of being commanded

    Young people contesting the older generation or the old rules

    Older generation wanting war to continue their hold of the young

    The last two times Saturn was in Aries was in 1996-99 and 1967-69.

    What was happening in the world during those periods?

    1967-1969

    Anti-Vietnam peace marches during a period in which the war was in full swing –  fear/disdain (Saturn) of war (Aries).

    Student protests across Europe – the young (Aries) contested the old (Saturn).

    April 1996-June 1998, October 1998-March 1999

    March 1998 – the drug Viagra was approved by the FDA – everyone can find their own meaning of Saturn in Aries about this!

    March 1997 Kyoto protocol regarding the control (Saturn) of greenhouse gases (by curtailing the use of energy aka Mars)

    Time (Saturn) of course will tell how this energy (Aries) will be used. Let’s hope for better rather than worse…..in a few days we will also have the exact conjunction between Saturn and Neptune at 00°45’ Aries…more on that later.
