• SATURN-NEPTUNE CONJUNCTION AT 00°45’ ARIES 20 FEBRUARY 2026

  • Saturn conjunct Neptune in AriesSATURN-NEPTUNE CONJUNCTION AT 00°45’ ARIES

The upcoming conjunction will take place on 20 February and will be the first conjunction of these two planets in the sign of Aries since 1702. Conjunctions occur between the pair approximately every 36 years and the last time they met up was on 13 November 1989 at 10° Capricorn.

During the major part of 2025, Saturn and Neptune have been within orb of conjunction in the sign of Pisces. This conjunction however was in a Water sign, the very last sign of the zodiac where things are brought to conclusion and where not only emotions run high but often deception and secrets are somehow involved too. Now the conjunction will occur in a Fire sign, the first sign of the zodiac, new beginnings! Even more so since the conjunction will also be conjoined the Aries point which is deemed an extremely sensitive point when touched by a planet. Noel Tyl wrote: “when the Aries point is activated in a personal horoscope there is the potential for public projection for the person in terms of planet, point or midpoint configurated with it.”

However, planetary cycles are particularly important in mundane astrology since they often mark significant historical events.

The late French astrologer and researcher, André Barbault spent much of his life researching the effects of the various planetary cycles over the centuries. His remarks regarding the Saturn-Neptune conjunction “…a deep nocturnal couple in keeping with the Imum Coeli, human need increases the collective demands of a frustrated population which has no hope. So, this conjunction is about popular insurrections that are usually fired by ideological belief.”

He related this conjunction over the years to events closely connected with Russia and it is possible that this upcoming conjunction will also have lasting effects on Russia too.

Barbault also commented that the conjunction in Aries is part of “a triangular quartet of planets with a double sextile to a trine between Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius….it is the most benefic configuration of the century and its interplanetary partnership will work for the best in a splendid relaunch of civilization. It contains a harmonious relationship between primordial polar opposites; the coming together of external and the internal, rational and spiritual mind and soul – human beings surpassing themselves while experiencing life on a higher level.”

However, this conjunction is not only a mundane event, I, together with many of my colleagues, have either personally experienced or witnessed clients experience a more personal version of this aspect.

In contemporary astrology, the meeting of these two planets in harsher aspects (conjunction, square, opposition) in natal or transits-to-natal charts often has quite a bad rap (along with the more enlightening indications). Here are a few of the statements I’ve found among more well-known astrologers:

“….illness, tiredness, depletion of resources, despair, to be without hope. This is a major signifier of health problems in predictive astrology.” – Bernadette Brady

“….negative moods, self-doubt and uncertainty. Do not take gloomy evaluations too seriously, you seem only to be aware of those facets of your life that you are afraid of and totally unaware of those things that can comfort and reinforce you. Watch your health.” – Robert Hand

“….melts down the natives habitual patterns, principles and barriers – which could be a welcome change or a source of fear. – Öner Döser

“….where we feel weak and insecure but Saturn also shows where we feel pain. Saturn the boundary-builder, serves to bar from our awareness to those parts of ourselves that we don’t like and make us feel uncomfortable. Neptune, the boundary-dissolver, undermines the defences of Saturn and exposes what we have kept hidden.” – Howard Sasportas

“….health scares and food poisoning stories may be in the news and important deaths of individuals who are prominent in the arts, films or music industry. – Sue Tompkins

Of course it could also mean making a dream come true, spirituality being regulated, being in harmony with natural rhythms, delving into spiritual practices without losing oneself, being easily overwhelmed by other people’s expectations and the list goes on….planetary energies just like electrical energy can manifest for good or for bad.

A lot depends on which house the conjunction will be in your own natal chart and how you have responded to the non-exact conjunction between these two planets which has been on-going during their recent stay in Pisces (the major part of 2025).

The Sabian symbol for 01° Aries: “A woman just risen from the sea, a seal is embracing her.” Indicating the emergence of new forms and of the potentiality of consciousness.

For the antiscion at 30° Virgo: “Totally intent upon completing an immediate task, a man is deaf to any allurement.” Indicating the total concentration required for reaching any spiritual goal.

“I opened my mouth to tell her that nothing could kill me, not now, but she said, ‘Not kill you. Destroy you. Dissolve you. You wouldn’t die in here, nothing ever dies in here, but if you stayed here for too long, after a while just a little of you would exist everywhere, all spread out. And that’s not a good thing. Never enough of you all together in one place, so there wouldn’t be anything left that would think of itself as an “I.” No point of view any longer, because you’d be an infinite sequence of views and points…” Neil Gaiman, The Ocean at the End of the Lane
