  • Full Moon in LibraFULL MOON IN LIBRA

Is it “me” time or “we” time?

The Full Moon will occur at 12°21’ Libra (antiscion 17°35’ Pisces), a Cardinal, Air sign ruled by Venus.

Full Moons are when matters climax, they are “now or never” moments regarding any projects we have initiated, or intentions set at the preceding New Moon fourteen days ago.

This Full Moon chart has 5 planets in the Cardinal signs, 4 in Fixed and 2 in Mutable so it’s a bit push and pull action-wise. The Elements are fairly well-balanced with 3 planets each in the Water and Fire Element and 2 each in Earth and Air.

Moon (our emotions or in mundane astrology, the people) is peregrine in Libra, the people really don’t know what to do to regain some form of harmony in the world. Sun (our heads or our leaders in mundane astrology) is exalted in Aries, it’s full of itself so as to say yet lacks the foresight to envision long term consequences of hasty actions taken on the spur of the moment. Moon opposite Sun is applying a square to a dignified Jupiter in Cancer thus forming a Cardinal T-square. Cardinal T-squares are action-oriented so perhaps Sun feels legitimated in doing whatever it wants whilst Moon continues to wallow in emotions, desiring accord and harmony but not knowing how to obtain these.

Moon is disposed by a dignified Venus in practical Taurus which is applying a square aspect to Pluto, emotions are running deep for the people in general. Moon and Venus are in Mutual Reception (Venus in Taurus where Moon is exalted and Moon in Libra, ruled by Venus).

Mercury in Pisces is trine Jupiter in Cancer and also Mercury//Moon, we need to find our voice but Water signs are silent by nature…

Sun, in Aries, is separating from a conjunction to Saturn and both are ruled by Mars which is fairly well supported in Pisces. Again, some form of legitimation as an excuse for action.

On a personal level, an intimate desire for peace and harmony is at odds with our heads that are telling us that we must fight for our rights.

This lunation takes place on the 7th-1st house axis, Libra-Aries the “you” vs “me”, compromise vs assertion, relationship vs independence etc. Most affected by this Full Moon are those people with planets or angles in the Cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. Allow a 2° orb for contacts.

    Author Raven Kaldera calls it

    the “Artist’s Moon”

according to him, it’s a great time to start creative projects and an even better time to pick up those creative projects you’ve put aside or forgot about or lost inspiration in. It’s also a good time to go public with your art (or your talents I might add).

The Sabian symbol for the Moon at 13° Libra: “Children blowing soap bubbles.” Indicating the cultural fantasies through which young minds dream of perfect fulfilment.

For the antiscion of Moon at 18° Pisces: “In a gigantic tent, villagers witness a spectacular performance.” Indicating the collective appeal of a well-staged and exciting display and/or oratory.

For the Sun at 13° Aries: “An unexploded bomb reveals an unsuccessful social protest.” Indicating an immature evaluation of the possibility of transforming suddenly the status quo.

For the antiscion of Sun at 18° Virgo: “A Ouija board.” Indicating the ability to contact deeper recesses of the unconscious psyche and sensitiveness to psychic intimations and omens.

“There’s a difference between what we need to have and what we need to be. Head is what need to have, Heart is what we need to be.” Abhijit Naskar
