This Full Moon is the second of the month of July this year. When a Full Moon occurs twice in the same month then the second one is called a “Blue Moon”. It’s a phenomenon that takes place every two or three years, thus the saying “Once in a blue moon” when something happens very rarely. Full Moons are said to bring completion to the matters started on the last New Moon.Raven Kaldera in his book “Moon Phase Astrology” calls the Full Moon in Aquarius the “Friendship Moon” and it’s a great time to hang out with friends and spend time with the people you like and possibly care about.
This Full Moon falls across the traditional 5-11th axis of the zodiacal wheel so the leitmotiv seems to be on the lines of “what I want to do vs what we can do together” or “my satisfaction vs group satisfaction”, “autocrat vs democrat”, “artist vs scientist” or “my fun vs fun with others” etc.
So, on the Aquarius Full Moon we might feel our individual intention in a more marked way (Leo) combined with a collective perception (Aquarius) which aids us to create a new reality or we might feel the need to be in the limelight or to put ourselves “out there” (Leo) in order to be recognized by our similars (Aquarius).
