AT WHAT POINT DOES TOO MUCH BECOME TOO MUCH?
On 14 August Mars conjoins Jupiter (16°40’ Gemini, antiscion 13°20’ Cancer) in the mentally stimulated, socially active sign of Gemini. Mars is in minor essential dignity in Gemini but Jupiter is in his detriment, neither will be inclined to be on their best behaviour and exuberance may abound with excess mental activity and weird bombastic ideas, there may also be accidents and incidents regarding travel, particularly air (Gemini) travel. Only a few hours later, Mars and then Jupiter (5 days) move into a square aspect with Saturn R in Pisces (17°42 Gemini-Pisces for Mars and 17°27’ Gemini-Pisces for Jupiter) where Saturn also has only minor essential dignity and this probably won’t be enough to curb the too enthusiastic couple in Gemini, more so because Saturn is ruled by Jupiter. However, this square aspect could also lend itself to structures and barriers being broken and I’m including bones and dams and sea vessels here too.
The last two times that Mars and Jupiter conjoined in Gemini was on 3 April 1942 at 16°21’ during WWII then again on 11 March 1989 at 00°21’ Gemini (as the USSR began dissolve), so you can see it’s not a particularly frequent event and often brings problems with it.
The last time Jupiter squared Saturn R on the Gemini-Pisces axis was 6 July 1965 at 17°09’ (the war in Vietnam and the creation of Medicare and MediAid among many other events of that year) and this time there will be a double hit on 19 August as explained above with Saturn R and again on 24 December 2024 at 14°01’ with Saturn direct and Jupiter R.
The late French astrologer André Barbault also posited that the Jupiter-Saturn cycle has been associated with warfare and important social unrest in the past particularly for Europe since it has always been decisive for European affairs.
Meanwhile Mercury (ruler of both Mars and Jupiter) now retrograde in Leo will make an exact quincunx to Neptune R in Pisces (29°26’) on15 August, there will probably be an abundance of distorted truth in all types of communications, don’t believe what you’re told, it could be a lie that we actively need to get to the bottom of and call out. On 18 August Mercury R squares Uranus (27°10’ Leo-Taurus) we may be very shocked by the chest beating and the dishonesty that we are being fed.
The Sabian symbol for the Mars-Jupiter conjunction at 17° Gemini: “The head of a robust youth changes into that of a mature thinker.” Indicating the transformation of physical vitality into the power to build concepts and intellectual formulations through which knowledge can be transferred.
For the antiscion at 14° Cancer: “A very old man facing a vast dark space to the northeast.” Indicating fulfilment in transcending and changeless wisdom.
“A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.” – Mark Twain
