  • So, Zohran Mamdani won the NY Mayor elections, born in 1991 (18 October 1991 at 01.15am in Kampala Uganda, Rodden rating A), yet another example of the leadership qualities of the generation born under the first Air conjunction in Libra which took place 3 times between December 1980 and March 1981. Here’s a small excerpt from my article published by OPA in the Evolving Astrologer December 2024 issue:

    “AIRBORNE LEADERS. THE SEEDS OF A GREAT MUTATION

    Since Jupiter entered the sign of Gemini on May 25, 2024, the planet has been in the orb of a waxing square to Saturn in Pisces and the planets will continue this dance when Jupiter enters Cancer and Saturn enters Aries (both in 2025-2026) although only by sign and no longer by degree. Waxing squares are times when one begins to see the potential development of what was planted during the conjunction. So, it’s time to consider some hypotheses about what kind of new era we entered during the 2020 conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn. Have we seen the rise to leadership roles of the Millennials born under a conjunction of these two planets in the Air sign of Libra in the early eighties, almost as if this was a trial run before the planets plunged into a 600-year stay in the Air signs?

    The Jupiter-Saturn conjunction took place in the Air sign of Aquarius in December 2020. It ended a 600-year period of the conjunction in the Earth signs, except for the second to last conjunction, which took place three times in the Air sign of Libra between December 1980 and July 1981, preparing us, as James Hillman wrote in his book, The Soul’s Code, “to leave behind consumerism and adopt a sense of community.”

    So, when taking into consideration the 2020 conjunction in the Air signs and the ongoing square aspect between these two planets along the Gemini-Pisces and Aries-Cancer axis, keep in mind the Millennials born between 1981 and1996 when there was a test-drive Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in the Air sign of Libra. That particular conjunction prepared those born during these 20 years for the new era to come, perhaps putting the emphasis on relationships and finding new ways of bonding and sharing between people and populations (those born in the early ‘80s also experienced the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Libra, again focusing on relationships). The ensuing Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in the year 2000 returned to Taurus and the Earth element as financial strength again became pivotal to a successful life for many. These young Millennials born between 1981 and 1996 are now between 26 and 43 years of age and will certainly make up the major part of our leaders and trendsetters in the coming years. Hopefully, they will also be equipped with the right mindset and drive for the role that awaits them.”
