OOB NEW MOON IN TAURUSfeeling comfortable isn’t always the best thing….
It’s time to set your intentions for the New Moon at 25°58’ Taurus (antiscion 04°02’ Leo). The Moon is exalted in this Venus-ruled, Fixed Earth sign.
The exalted OOB Moon is parallel it’s dispositor OOB Venus which is in mutual reception with Mercury, and the Sun and Moon are approaching a conjunction to Mercury. The lunation is also conjunct Fixed Star Algol often denoting a incapability “to do your job” or lose your head because you find yourself out of your depth in some matter. So, while we may be basking in a new-found harmony with our leaders who are mainly thinking about commerce and perhaps how to get rich(er) – Sun conjunct Mercury – the people may have diverse and fast changing ideas about all this (OOB Moon//OOB Venus and conjunct Mercury). Both leaders and people however are involved in matters way over their heads.
The latter statement is corroborated by retrograde Pluto being on the degree of the nodes and Pluto R c//Jupiter and Pluto R trine Uranus and sextile Neptune. Something really unexpected and as yet unknown (Pluto-Neptune) seems to be about to happen and will involve society as a whole (Pluto R in Aquarius) through mind-blowing revelations (Uranus//Mercury). Venus and Mercury are also in mutual reception and Venus is sextile Mars, news of problems on the monetary front perhaps or something so weird that it’s difficult to comprehend?
While the Earth, Fire and Air elements are well balanced with three planets per element there is a lack of Water (only Jupiter in Cancer) – our empathy is at its lowest. The Modalities have four planets each in Cardinal and Fixed yet only two in Mutable, seeing a way out of situations could prove difficult.
The New Moon falls on the 2-8th axis of the zodiac (Taurus-Scorpio) which involves matters such as security vs temptation, calm vs crisis, sex vs taboos etc. It is significant for those who have planets or angles between 20-28° of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius.
So, part of our intentions for this moment might involve building things (projects, relationships or whatever) to last by creating stability in that part of our lives illuminated by this New Moon. To do this we need to listen to our body and follow our heart.
Author Raven Kaldera, in his book “Moon Phase Astrology”, calls this New Moon the
“Dryads Moon”
the Dryads are the quiet, shy spirits of the trees, and he states that “this Moon phase in the earthiest of the astrological signs comes forth in a form that is as close to Nature that a human can possibly be”. He suggests that on this day we should steep ourselves in Nature by going for a walk or just sitting in the garden or park when possible.
The Sabian symbol for 26° Taurus: “A Spanish gallant serenades his beloved.” Indicating the ritualisation of individual desires.
For the antiscion at 05 Leo: “Rock formations tower over a deep canyon.” Indicating the structuring power of elemental forces during the long cycle of planetary evolution.
“Anything that disturbs your comfort factor is good for you.” Tony La Russa
