NEW MOON IN VIRGO
the devil is in the details but so is salvation
There will be a New Moon at 4°03’ Virgo (antiscion 25°57’ Aries) on the 27th of this month.
Virgo Moons want to get things done in the most practical and neatest way, that could be one of the reasons that they are prone to worry…not meeting their own (high) standards. The dispositor of this New Moon is Mercury in fair-play Libra, first applying a trine to Mars in Gemini and then applying an opposition to Jupiter R in Aries, people-pleasing (probably by trying to say the right thing) seems to be big on the agenda but oppositions need compromise otherwise disappointment could prevail.
The Sun and Moon are on the same degree as Mars but separating from a very recent square to the planet. An overload of information could have caused irritation and temper tantrums in some.
In the lunation chart there are five planets retrograde, dragging their feet so to say and slowing things down which perhaps is a good thing since introspection in often necessary before moving forward. There is only Neptune in the Water element, of course empathy is lacking with so much rationality at play. The desire to move ahead is also a little weak (only two planets in the Cardinal modality). A mentally frazzled New Moon with two many thoughts to sort out.
Venus and Saturn form the base of a Fixed T-Square with a Uranus-North Node apex, something unexpected and shocking may be on the near horizon as far as finances and stock exchanges are concerned. Matters regarding our values/finances/sentiments could also soon change, like it or not, we need to be aware of our surroundings so as to be ready for these changes which could otherwise take us completely by surprise and this might result hard for some.
The house axis involved in this lunation is the 6th-12th, Virgo-Pisces involving such matters as discrimination vs universality, order vs chaos and criticism vs compassion. The New Moon will involve those persons with planets/angles between 2-7° of the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces).
New Moons are times when the Sun and Moon are conjoined in the identical degree of the same sign and this causes the Moon to remain hidden from our view.
It’s a great moment to set intentions for the coming month regarding the matters of the house where it falls in our natal chart. These lunations can be seen as moments of “seeding”.
Astrologer Raven Kaldera calls this the “Maiden’s Moon” during which we are invited to search solace in solitude rather than desperately trying to fill the room with other auras.
The Sabian symbol for 5° Virgo: “A man becoming aware of Nature spirits and normally unseen spiritual agencies.” Indicating the opening of new levels of consciousness.
For the antisicion at 26° Aries: “A man possessed of more gifts than he can hold.” Indicating obsession by potentiality.
