FULL MOON IN LEO 01 FEBRUARY 2026

The show must go on…

The Full Moon will occur at 13°04’ Leo (antiscion 16°56’ Taurus). A Full Moon in Leo could give us a transient emotional mood for extravagance or for showing off!!

Sun, the Moon’s dispositor, is ruled by Saturn (traditional)and Uranus (modern). Saturn and Uranus R aspect each other by sextile but they make no aspect to the Full Moon.

This drama queen Moon sits alone on the other side of the lunation chart like an entertainer doing a solo act but in a debilitated position since it has no dignity in Aquarius and is what is known as peregrine (a wanderer), maybe drama is all it can muster. The Moon is in opposition not only to the Sun but also to the stellium of five planets in Aquarius (Sun, Pluto, Mars, Venus and Mercury) all four planets are combust due to their vicinity to the Sun and therefore hidden and rather ineffective. Could it be that Sun may be hiding a totally different agenda about social reform from Moon? Mars and Mercury are also peregrine and Sun is in its detriment in Aquarius, Dispositors of the stellium are Saturn (peregrine) and Uranus (retrograde). So, apparently this seems like a Full Moon where nobody seems to know in what direction they’re heading, be these our leaders or the people, but stubbornness rules as all planets are in Fixed signs including Uranus R. Could this indicate a desire for action but could pride or too much drama hold us back? There is also a predominance of the Air element, our leaders may be imagining a new future for the collective (the five planets in Aquarius) and this may not be in a peaceful way.

Moon//Uranus R and both c// Mars, the people are definitely on a roller coaster with feelings going overboard and there could easily be a danger of violence coming out of group demonstrations and these are not soothed in any way by the crazy, financial upheavals and unhappiness caused by the those who lead (Sun//Mercury//Venus).

Leo is a Fixed, Fire sign. In traditional astrology Leo governs the 5^th house, so this Full Moon operates on the 5^th-11^th house axis (Leo-Aquarius): the things we create for our own personal satisfaction (including our children) vs our group efforts, the artist vs the scientist, the autocrat vs the democrat etc.

Full Moons are also known to be times when things climax, when we decide that enough is enough for certain aspects of our life because we avert an intensified conflict between two major areas of our life and we need to find a way to honour both. They shine a light on the area that is “hidden” and in this case, in traditional astrology, all matters concerning the 5th house and the sign of Leo. This is certainly more evident when the Full Moon closely aspects any personal planets or angles in your chart and it also depends on the houses involved in your individual chart.

“The Queen’s Moon”

and he encourages us to take charge of a situation or become leader for a day or failing this to do something nice for a woman who is in a position of power in public life.

The Sabian symbol for 14° Leo: “A human soul seeking opportunities for outward manifestation.” Indicating the yearning for self-actualization.

For the antiscion at 17° Taurus: “A symbolic battle between “swords” and “torches”.” Indicating the refusal to depend upon the past, the seeker turns warrior, fighting anew the eternal “Great War”.

For the Sun at 14° Aquarius: “A train entering a tunnel.” Indicating the ability to shortcut the process of natural evolution by the exercise of will, mental skill and physical self-discipline.
