I believe in me…do you?
The 3-week retrograde period will begin on the 25th of July at 23°26’ Leo (antiscion 6°34’ Taurus) and end on the 18th of August at 11°33’ Leo (antiscion 18°27’ Taurus).
In Leo, all planets want to be respected according to their nature. Mercury in Leo wants to be respected for his opinions and views and in desiring this, self-confidence often turns into bravado and presumption.
During this retrograde we will have the opportunity to think about in which part of life we want to shine in and be respected for our opinions and ideas (the house where Mercury is transiting, its natal position and the houses it rules in your chart) and possibly how to go about it once the retrograde period is over.
Being the ruler of both Gemini and Virgo, these are the signs usually most affected by the retrograde period. However the planet itself will be sextiling any planets in Gemini and semi-sextiling those in Virgo so I don’t consider these particularly trying aspects. More discomfort may be felt by those with planets between 25-10° of the fixed signs of Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius and Taurus.
As always, the usual suggestions apply to the Mercury retrograde: great for putting “re” in front of everything, planning, but waiting for the direct station, before acting. Expecting possible delays in transport of all kinds, upheavals in the planning of appointments, electronic equipment going haywire etc. Avoiding signing contracts (where possible, but again contracts are between people so it’s a retrograde season for everyone and if its “bad” for one it may be “good” for the other party).
Retrograde Mercury will be forming a square aspect to Jupiter in Scorpio (14°) on the 10-11th of August – ideas could be grandiose (Leo and Jupiter) but still rather unfathomable (Scorpio).
The Sabian symbol for 24° Leo: “Totally concentrated upon inner spiritual attainment, a man is sitting in a state of complete neglect of bodily appearance and cleanliness.” Indicating an intense focalization of energy and consciousness at the expense of all forms of outward activity and care.
For its antisicion at 7° Taurus: “The woman of Samaria at the ancestral well.” Indicating the meeting of the traditional past and of the creative spirit pointing to the future.
“Think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another steppingstone to greatness.” Oprah Winfrey
Are you ready for this retrograde?
