Let’s move forward with optimism…
After a twenty-two day period of retrograde motion in the Fire sign of Sagittarius, Mercury now stops in his tracks at 13°01’ (in my previous article about the Mercury retrograde period, I made an error in stating the direct station degree…many apologies) before picking up speed and moving forward.
The antiscion point (also worth watching if you have planets/angle there) is 16°59’ Capricorn.
Wherever Sagittarius is in your chart you’ve been invited during this time to re-evaluate the matters of that house and do so with responsibility since Mercury has already been twice in conjunction with Saturn and will make a third pass on 13th January 2018 at 2°50’ Capricorn, Saturn’s new home for the next 2.5 years. Now you’re ready to activate all those plans and programmes for the future that you’ve hopefully been reviewing.
This, for some, may involve purchasing that new phone, computer, car or machine that you’ve been pondering, since all these things come under Mercury’s reign and may have broken during this period and which are typical gifts for the upcoming Festive Season. The same applies for sorting out any communication muddles and getting them settled and now is, of course, a great time to set off on a journey.
On this same day the planet Venus, in the final degrees of Sagittarius, goes OOB* a condition which it will enjoy until the 4th of January. So, the Festive Season with a wild card Venus…who knows what will happen? More so, since Venus will enter Capricorn on the 25th December so wild but determined or maybe a loner!
The Sabian symbol for 14° Sagittarius: The great pyramid and the Sphinx.” Indicating the enduring power of occult knowledge and of its quasi-divine custodians, the “seed-men” of a previous cycle of existence.
To me a fitting quote for this moment might be:
“Living is a thing you do now or never, which do you do?” P.P. Hein
What did the Mercury retrograde period bring up for you? Want to share?

* What does it mean for a planet to be OOB? When we cast an astrological chart we use a precise locality (birth place) on the earth and from this observation point we take note of the position of the planets in the sky at the time of birth and this enables us to calculate the angles that the planets form to the given locality. Another point of reference however is the celestial equator (which is the terrestrial equator elongated into space). When planets travel beyond 23°27’ either side of the celestial equator, be it North or South, they are referred to as “out of bounds”.
