Venus enters the cool, collected and independent sign of Aquarius and joins the rendezvous with the other 4 planets already in Aquarius (Saturn, Jupiter, Sun, Mercury). On the day of the New Moon, the 11th February, there will be 6 planets in Aquarius, 2 in Taurus (both fixed signs), 1 in Capricorn and 1 in Pisces. With the Aquarius-Taurus square this is a very shake, rattle and roll energy so expect unruliness, events of force majeure and shocking news coming in from around the world during this period from 1st to 20th February.
In this sign Venus wants the liberty to come and go as it pleases but this doesn’t necessarily mean unfaithfulness, just that equal rights and a seemingly no-strings-attached attitude need to be maintained for relationships to function.
It’s the Venus placement par excellence for bed-buddies in a mix-and-match of friends becoming lovers and vice versa since Venus here is rather emotionally distant and has an attitude for open and unconventional relationships, fortunately jealousy is not one of its traits however.
Interestingly, the first aspect Venus will make after entering Aquarius, is a conjunction with its traditional ruler Saturn (6 Feb 5°54’) followed immediately by a square to modern co-ruler Uranus (7 Feb 6°58’) so if you have personal planets on these degrees in Aquarius and/or Taurus (Leo and Scorpio too) you might be in for some excitement, as Venus matters get pushed and pulled between the old and the established and something totally new. This all depends, of course, on the configuration of your personal birth chart. Other aspects are a conjunction to Jupiter (11 Feb 17°34’) and a further square to Mars (19 Feb 23°00’).
