• MERCURY ENTERS THE SIGN OF VIRGO 31ST JULY 2016

  • Hermes D'Auliers Book of Greek Myths…..and nit-picky and worrisome come to my mind

One of my Italian colleagues reminded me that today Mercury has entered Virgo, one of the signs it rules and that it will remain there an unusually long time, well over the month that it habitually stays in one sign.

It will in fact leave Virgo on the 7th of October this year. During that time it will also make the third of its annual retrograde periods which this year all take place in the Earth signs. I will be writing more in detail about this nearer the time.

Mercury in Virgo is very analytical and rather sceptical and could also become quite fastidious, even nagging, in its love of detail. These characteristics will be even more accentuated when Mercury meets up with Jupiter, also in Virgo, on the 20th of August (in direct motion) and 1st September (in retrograde motion).

However, before its rendezvous with expansive Jupiter it will have the “pleasure” to oppose Neptune retrograde in Pisces and square Saturn, also retrograde, in Sagittarius on the 6-7th September forming an aspect known as a T-square with Saturn as the apex.

This may bring deception (Mercury opposite Neptune) into the open for us to discuss in a serious  way (Saturn square both planets)…it may bring reality (Saturn) into our fantasies (Mercury opposite Neptune) or it may make us responsible (Saturn) for turning our scepticism (Mercury) into something more creative (Neptune).

It’s certainly going to be an interesting ride, particularly for the Mutable signs of Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces and Gemini.

    ENJOY!
