  • Jupiter SR AriesJUPITER STATIONS RETROGRADE

Intolerance, after all, may not pay

Only a few hours after the New Moon in Leo, Jupiter stations retrograde at 08°43’ Aries (antiscion 21°17’ Virgo), the planet is also c/parallel Neptune (unrealistic dreams when reality is blindfolded). It is the 4th planet to turn retrograde (Pluto, Neptune and Saturn are already retrograde). Jupiter will re-enter its home sign of Pisces on 28th October and station direct on the 23rd November at 28°47’ Pisces (antiscion 01°13’ Libra).

From my Jupiter in Aries article dated early May this year:

“Jupiter being hot and moist and Pisces being a cold, wet sign could have brought rains and floods in some parts of the world as the planet transited Pisces but Jupiter in Aries seems better fitted to wild fires, droughts and extreme heat some of which have already appeared on the world scenario.

Aries is a Cardinal, pro-active sign and Jupiter amplifies all that it touches, that “me-first”, “win all at any cost” attitude could become unbearable and very dangerous in the wrong hands.

Aries is, of course, the sign of warfare so no wonder we’re in the middle of what could become a military escalation on a global scale with its focal point in Ukraine.”

Over the next months we will have an opportunity to get back in touch with our inner self as a cautious optimism about future events gradually invades us, more at an interior level rather than an exterior one.

The Aries part of the retrograde might mean that matters do not proceed as planned in the realm of warfare, but I can’t see it modifying the hot, dry climate in the immediate future, we will have to wait for Jupiter to retrograde into Pisces for the moisture to appear (prevision for the Northern Hemisphere).

The Pisces part of the retrograde may hopefully also bring more compassion to the forefront. Giving us an opportunity to turn inwards and gain deeper insights into spiritual or philosophical issues since our wisdom will flow with more ease from the subconscious to the conscious self.  This is also an excellent period during which to seek out underlying beliefs concerning the current matters of the house where Jupiter is transiting in our natal chart. In this way we may come out of this retrograde period with an inner sense of wholeness and confidence in our future potentials and ideals.

Jupiter represents, among many other things, foreign travel, ideals, teaching, learning, legal matters, religion, the clergy, indigo-violet-purple colours, the hips, thighs and liver.

The Sabian symbol for 09° Aries: “A crystal gazer.” Indicating the development of an inner realisation of organic wholeness.

For the antiscion at 22° Virgo: “A royal coat of arms enriched with precious stones.” Indicating the certification of aristocratic status, at whatever level “nobility” expresses itself in cultural eminence.

“I looked outside to see what I could make the world give me, instead of looking inside to see what was there.”  Bell Livingstone

What or where do you need to tune down or turn up during this retrograde?
