FULL MOON IN LIBRA ON 5-6 APRIL 2023
Is it “me” time or “we” time?
The Full Moon will occur at 16°07’ Libra (antiscion 13°53’ Pisces), a Cardinal, Air sign ruled by Venus.
Full Moons are when matters climax, they are “now or never” moments regarding any projects we have initiated, or intentions set at the preceding New Moon fourteen days ago.
This Full Moon chart is well balanced as far as Modality is concerned with 4 planets in the Fixed signs, 4 in the Cardinal and 2 in the Mutable. The same is true also for the Elements, with 3 planets in Earth, 2 in Air, 3 in Water and in 2 Fire.
Moon is disposed by a dignified Venus in practical Taurus which is applying a close sextile aspect to Neptune and still in orb of a separating conjunction to Uranus. The Moon itself opposes the Sun conjunct Jupiter.
Sun, in Aries, is conjunct Jupiter and ruled by Mars now in Cancer and is separating from a trine aspect to Saturn.
The people desire accord and harmony but go about obtaining it in an unrealistic and irascible way through demonstrations and strikes (Venus sextile Neptune and Venus conjunct Uranus) whilst the governments prefer action probably stretching themselves too far (Sun conjunct Jupiter) in their attempt to cope (Mars trine Saturn).
On a personal level, an intimate desire for peace and harmony is at odds with our heads that are telling us that we must fight for our rights.
This lunation takes place on the traditional 7th-1st house axis, Libra-Aries the “you” vs “me”, compromise vs assertion, relationship vs independence etc. Most affected by this Full Moon are those people with planets or angles in the Cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. Allow a 2° orb for contacts.
Author Raven Kaldera calls it
the “Artist’s Moon”
according to him, it’s a great time to start creative projects and an even better time to pick up those creative projects you’ve put aside or forgot about or lost inspiration in. It’s also a good time to go public with your art (or your talents I might add).
The Sabian symbol for 17° Libra: “A retired sea captain watches ships entering and leaving the harbour.” Indicating the capacity to gain an objective and calm understanding of human experiences in which one was once deeply involved.
For the antiscion at 14° Pisces: “A lady wrapped in a large stole of fox fur.” Indicating the use of intelligence and mental subtlety as a protection against storms and trials.
“There’s a difference between what we need to have and what we need to be. Head is what need to have, Heart is what we need to be.” Abhijit Naskar
