FULL MOON IN LIBRA
is it “me” or “we” time for you?
The Full Moon will occur at 26°45’ Libra, a Cardinal, Air sign ruled by Venus (antiscion 3°15’ Pisces).
A predominance of Earth and Water elements characterise this Full Moon with only one planet in the Fire signs. Practicality, compassion and empathy but with little energy or intuition to actually get things started although we are definitely restless with 5 planets in the mutable signs.
Venus, dispositor of this Full Moon, is exalted in Pisces and parallel the Moon as it sextiles the Mercury-Uranus conjunction in Taurus (the other sign ruled by Venus) this could be an opportunity for peace talks with a “different twist”, or a sudden declaration of love or some outrageous news about global finances which could be someone’s dream and another man’s nightmare.
Mars, dispositor of the Sun, has recently entered Pisces and its triplicity, unsure of where and how to direct its energy.
Saturn is on the degree of the lunar nodes and square the nodal axis. It’s difficult to find a balance as we leave the old and tried (fighting for what we want) to venture into a completely new and unknown set of rules (putting love first).
Moon and Sun are both making a square aspect to Pluto forming a Cardinal T-square, an obsessive and game-changing battle between a powerful ego and intense emotions with the winner taking all. Moon is trine Saturn, an ease of compromise that helps delineate the rules in a way that is as fair as possible.
During Full Moons the Sun and Moon are in opposition to each other; the head (Sun) and the heart (Moon) are out of kilter, Aries is about the “me” whilst Libra is about the “we”.
While Aries loves challenges and initiations, fighting for them if necessary, Libra, a Cardinal Air sign, wants partnership and prefers fairness and justice in all relationships, but these are also values that can be fought for too. What do we value most, ourselves or our relationships? And again, are we reflecting our true selves in our relationships or are we making do and letting fear make us possessive and jealous?
Full Moons are when matters climax, they are “now or never” moments regarding any projects we have initiated or intentions set at the preceding New Moon fourteen days ago.
This lunation takes place on the traditional 7th-1st house axis, Libra-Aries the “you” vs “me”, compromise vs assertion, relationship vs independence etc. Most affected by this Full Moon are those people with planets or angles in the Cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. Allow a 2° orb for contacts.
Author Raven Kaldera calls it the “Artist’s Moon” according to him, it’s a great time to start creative projects and an even better time to pick up those creative projects you’ve put aside or forgot about or lost inspiration in. It’s also a good time to go public with your art (or your talents I might add).
For the Moon at 27° Libra: An airplane sails, high in the clear sky.” Indicating a consciousness able to transcend the conflicts and pressures of the personal life.
For the Moon’s antiscion at 4° Pisces: “Heavy car traffic on a narrow isthmus linking two seashore resorts.” Indicating the mobility and intensity of interchanges which make possible and characterise complex social processes.
The Sabian symbol for Sun at 27° Aries: “Through imagination a lost opportunity is regained.” Indicating revision of attitude and inner revaluation.
“In this story I am the poet. You’re the poetry.” Arzum Uzun
