FULL MOON IN TAURUS 15TH NOVEMBER 2024
This could be an emotional roller coaster
There will be a Full Moon at 24°01’ Taurus (antiscion 05°59’ Leo) on the 15th of November, the very same day that Saturn stations direct at 12°42’ Pisces.
The Moon is in a tight conjunction with Uranus Retrograde, this alone points to a highly emotional and perhaps incontrollable mind-set (or people) that want(s) freedom at all costs and with Moon-Uranus also sextile to Neptune Retrograde there will be a lot of confusion about which direction to take. Dispositor of the Moon is OOB Venus squaring the nodal axis. It seems like our values and whether we keep them or not depends entirely on us.
The lunation chart also has a Mutable T-Square with a Jupiter-OOB Mercury opposition and in Mutual Reception (each in one another’s signs) and both planets square Saturn which is stationary before turning direct. In this T-Square, Jupiter rules both Saturn and Mercury whilst Jupiter itself is ruled by Mercury. I believe that Saturn will really have reduced any enthusiasm and will continue to dampen any optimism that have might arisen over the last few days. It’s time for some serious talking.
Furthermore, Venus//Mercury (both OOB) and Venus//Moon – sweet talk and good feelings or cunning flattery and dissatisfaction.
The Modalities have four planets each in the Fixed and Mutable signs, continuing the stop-and-go attitude which came in with the New Moon two weeks ago. There is also only one planet in the Air element, underlining the fact that our direction forward is rather unclear.
Falling on the Taurus-Scorpio axis, 2-8 houses, the Moon-Sun opposition highlights our values vs the values we share with others, peace vs emotional storms, material comfort vs emotional drama etc.
Full Moons put the spotlight on the darker side of life, where we need to question our motivations and recognize if we are coming from a place of love for ourselves (Taurus) or suspicion and jealousy (Scorpio). It poses the question of what needs to be understood and transformed and what needs to be kept versus what we need to let go of. The Taurus-Scorpio axis with the Moon occurring in Taurus means that Scorpio is the dark side with all its trust issues and its penchant for drama and jealousy whilst Taurus indicates that awareness of love and comfort is the way out of Scorpio’s dilemma.
Raven Kaldera in his book “Moon Phase Astrology” calls this Full Moon the
“Earth Mother’s Moon”
According to him, it’s a time when we should take care of our body and the physical (not emotional) needs of others. We could ask ourselves on this Moon questions such as: “Am I eating healthily?”, “Do I need a medical check-up?”, “Am I sleeping enough?” “Do I feel good at skin-level with my clothes or does fashion prevail over my comfort?” “Am I getting enough hugs and regular body contact from my loved ones?” On this Moon we need to find the answers to the above questions and fix what is not working.
Most interested in this lunation will be those with planets or angles at 22-26° Taurus or Scorpio.
The Sabian symbol for the Moon at 25° Taurus is: “A vast public park:” Indicating the cultivation of natural energies for collective use and recreation.
For the antiscion point at 06° Leo: “A conservative, old-fashioned lady is confronted by a “hippie” girl.” Indicating the need to transcend our subservience to fashion, in morals as well as in clothes.
For the Sun at 25° Scorpio: “An X-ray photograph.” Indicating the capacity to acquire a knowledge of the structural factors in all existence.
“I know what I have given you…I do not know what you have received.” Antonio Porchia
