On April 30th there will be a Full Moon at 9°39’ in the Fixed, Water sign of Scorpio.
This lunation squares the transiting nodal axis which also means that there will be a Moon “wobble”*, a condition occurring when the Sun is transiting square or in conjunction to the nodes and this could bring to the fore supercharged emotions from deep inside.
The dispositors of the Moon in Scorpio (Mars, traditional and Pluto, modern) are both in Capricorn with Mars just separating from a very recent conjunction to Pluto, the worst might be over and now we need to process it at a deep emotional level.
The Sun’s sextile, and the Moon’s trine, to retrograde Saturn, also in Capricorn, could give us the grounding necessary to deal in a more practical and hands-on way with our emotions.
Full Moons are also known to be times when things climax, when we decide that enough is enough for certain aspects of our life because we avert an intensified conflict between two major areas of our life and we need to find a way to honour both.
They shine a light on the area that is “hidden” and in this case, in traditional astrology, all matters concerning the 8th house and the sign of Scorpio. The axis involved is the 2nd-8th and involves questions such as: the constructor vs the saboteur, security vs temptation, calm vs emotional crisis etc. Taurus is the first Earth sign and he wants to build, Scorpio is the second Water sign and wants to destroy in the attempt to understand and regenerate.
The effect is certainly more evident when the Full Moon closely aspects any personal planets or angles in your chart (7-12° of the fixed signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius), it also depends on the houses involved in your individual chart.
I suggest that we use the light of this Full Moon to illuminate where we can create more comfort and ease in our lives relinquishing those things (or persons) that no longer make us smile. Let’s search for our own personal pot of gold by digging deep inside ourselves to find what we really need in life to feel good.
In Pagan tradition, this Full Moon is known as the
“Pink moon”
Many flowers turn pink and bloom in April, thus the name pink moon. This is a good time for working on potential relationships, or heading off problems in an existing one.
The Sabian symbol for the Moon at 10° Scorpio: “A fellowship supper reunites old comrades.” Indicating the overtones of human relationships based on a community of work or experiences.
For the Sun at 10° Taurus: “A red cross nurse.” Indicating the compassionate linking of all men.
“Ships don’t sink because of the water around them; ships sink because of the water that gets in them. Don’t let what’s happening around you get inside you and weigh you down.” Accredited to Tiny Buddha
What’s peaking for you on this Full Moon? Where do you need to dig deeper?
