……..if it’s push and pull between home and work then Uranus could be the light-bulb solution
On July 19th there will be a Full Moon at 27°40’ Capricorn, a Cardinal Earth sign and the sign of the Moon’s detriment where it is at least at ease.
This Full Moon falls on the traditional 10th-4th axis, work vs home, public vs private, one parent vs another, rigidity vs flexibility etc.
Full Moons are peak energy times, “now or never” moments regarding any projects we have initiated or intentions set at the preceding New Moon fourteen days ago.
In his book “Moon Phase Astrology” author Raven Kaldera calls this the “Grandmother’s Moon” and her interest in in protecting and caring for her family. She is a ruler and this Full Moon is archetype of the Elder in all her fullness. On this Moon he suggests that we honour our Elders, alive or dead.
It is a serious, ambitious and responsible Moon and just hours before becoming full it passes over Pluto becoming more emotional and a little obsessive from the “wanting-to-control” point of view. Moon then proceeds to square Uranus which could give us all a light-bulb moment as to how to resolve any problems we might have managing our time between work and home and acting on it, maybe in a very unpredictable manner. Are we dedicating too much time to one sector or the other or have we managed to compromise between these two important parts of our lives?
The Sky is calling for decisions with the Saturn (Sagittarius)-Neptune (Pisces) square requiring us to ground our dreams or completely lose our boundaries, the still-operative yet now-separating Pluto (Capricorn)-Uranus (Aries) square asking for transformative social reform in a more humanitarian way, the Pluto (Capricorn)-Jupiter (Virgo) trine giving power to act, the Mars (Scorpio)-Uranus (Aries) quincunx telling us to expect the unexpected in an often brutal way, the Neptune (Pisces)-SN (Pisces) conjunction inviting us to watch out for self-illusion and delusion as well as any form of addiction, and the recent (a couple of days before the Full Moon) Venus-Mercury conjunction in Leo inspired us to talk about (or at least think about) what our heart really desires.
All this is great but please let’s not forget that at the moment there are NO planets in the Air signs and this started a couple of weeks ago and will continue until the end of August (except for the Moon passing through the Air signs for a couple of days each time). Without the Air component we have difficulty in seeing the consequences to our actions (and those of others too), we can’t see the “big picture”. We may over-worry about small things and under-estimate the larger ones. We could lack confidence in our communications and we just might be more gullible during these times to listening and biding by other peoples’ opinions. So let’s try to keep this in mind if we have important decisions to make.
The Sabian Symbol for the Moon at 28° Capricorn: “A large aviary” indicating the enjoyment of spiritual values by the soul able to familiarize itself with their implications.
For the Sun at 28° Cancer: “An Indian girl introduces her white lover to her assembled tribe.” Indicating inner birth through a total acceptance of the primordial values manifest in the human body and its natural functions.
A motto for this Full Moon: “The past has been there all along, reminding us: This time–maybe, hopefully, against all odds, we will get it right.” Leslie T. Chang
